A growing mid-size firm in the Reading area is seeking an experienced litigator to join their team. Trial experience is  preferred but not a requirement. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of civil litigation experience, have excellent writing skills, be able to comfortably work independently, and be barred in the state of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome     
• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
  
• Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in civil litigation
• Must be barred in Pennsylvania
• Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
• Prior experience Jury trial cases is highly preferred
• Must have some professional writing samples.
• Looking for someone who will be a part of our team on a long-term basis
