We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our Pasadena office and play a key role in developing our Employment Law practice. In this role, you will represent and defend employers in a variety of employment law matters, with a focus on handling PAGA claims.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an independent caseload of employer-side employment defense matters, with a focus on PAGA claims.
• Create Ironclad Employer handbooks that protect the client.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Depose witnesses, prepare clients for hearings and represent clients in mediations and arbitrations (court appearances may be required in the future).
• Stay up to date on developments in California employment law.
• Collaborate with partners and associates on complex employment cases, outsourcing only when necessary.
• Provide legal support on business and/or business litigation matters as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree and admission to the California Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in employment law, representing employers.
• Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in legal research and case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a high volume of work.
• A passion for employment law and a desire to build a successful practice.

Benefits:

• $105,000 - $155,000 Base salary
