We are seeking a knowledgeable and experiencedLabor and Employment Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel and representation in matters related to labor and employment law, ensuring our clients navigate these complex issues with confidence and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Representation: Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other employment law matters.
  • Advisory Services: Provide legal advice and guidance on employment policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations to resolve employment disputes efficiently and effectively.
  • Policy Development: Assist clients in drafting and reviewing employee handbooks, contracts, and other employment-related documents.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure clients comply with employment laws and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and others.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions for clients on various employment law topics to help prevent legal issues and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Investigations: Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, and compliance issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the NY State Bar and in good standing.
  • Experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Proven track record of successful legal outcomes in employment law.
