What’s in it for you? What You’ll Bring

• 3-8+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally in business and/or real estate disputes
• Hands-on experience with discovery, law and motion practice, legal writing, and depositions
• Prior experience at a respected litigation boutique, regional firm, or major law firm strongly preferred
• Trial experience preferred; first- or second-chair experience a strong plus
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership in good standing

The Role

• Manage cases from intake through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, oppositions, and other substantive pleadings in state and federal courts
• Conduct and manage all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trial, and attend hearings and case management conferences
• Work directly with clients, providing practical, business-oriented advice
• Partner with firm leadership on litigation strategy and case management
• The position is hybrid, based in San Ramon, CA, with two remote days and flexibility. The annual billable-hours target is 1,600 hours.
