Legal Secretary / Office Manager

A growing boutique litigation practice in Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary / Office Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

This position combines legal secretary, legal assistant, and office management responsibilities while supporting the firm’s litigation practice and daily operations. The role is well-suited for a highly organized professional who enjoys balancing litigation support with administrative and operational responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, appointments, and litigation deadlines
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and electronically file legal documents
  • Coordinate California state and federal court filings and service of process
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
  • Maintain legal files, document organization, and case management systems
  • Provide litigation support throughout active matters
  • Coordinate office operations, vendors, supplies, and administrative functions
  • Assist with billing, correspondence, and general office administration
  • Track deadlines and maintain efficient workflow processes

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of legal secretary experience
  • Experience with legal filing software required
  • Office management experience strongly preferred
  • Prior litigation law firm experience preferred
  • Employment, business, or civil litigation experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Beverly Hills

 

Compensation

$35–$40 per hour, depending on experience

Contract position with opportunity for permanent employment

 

Benefits

  • Benefits available through the staffing employer during the contract assignment, subject to eligibility
  • Opportunity to become eligible for employer benefits upon permanent hire

 

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Primarily in-office
  • Some scheduling flexibility after onboarding
  • No billable hour requirement

 

Salary Range: $35/ hr – $40/ hr
